30th July 2008 5:43PM EST GMT+10 Episode #555 and Trading Cards Pokemon Aus24 will now have much more articles then usual with anime and trading card news now being covered. First up a new episode (#555) which aired in Japan last week involves a group of Psyduck who wont let Ash, Brock and Dawn pass since they have young children they are protecting.  Next up the first card from the Legends Awakened trading card series has been revealed, it is Giratina and we have a scan below thanks to PokeBeach.com.  |

28th July 2008 12:04PM EST GMT+10 Wallpapers and Pokemon Day Well for today I have added four new Wallpapers to our collection, three of which animate to brighten up your destop. 2:57PM Edit: New Shaymin wallpaper now available. In September, Germany will be holding Pokemon Day which is similar to the standard Nintendo tours that other countries receive and at the event Darkrai will be handed out. Hopefully Australia will then get the Darkrai some time after that once the DVD is ready for launch here. Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia has been added to Nintendo Australia's website, don't expect the release date to appear instead of "TBC" anytime soon however it is safe to say we should see the game before the end of the year. Giratina and the Bouque of the Icy Sky, Shaymin has made it to number 2 in the Japanese box office, it was beaten by the latest film from the famous Studio Ghibli. Both films where released on the same day however the 11th Pokemon movie was only shown in 359 cinemas while Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea was shown in 481. |

23rd July 2008 5:15PM EST GMT+10 Pokemon Box Sets Pokemon Series 7 and 8 will become available for purchase from EzyDVD this October joining series 1-6 which are currently available. EzyDVD have these two new DVD boxsets up on their site as a future release along with "The Rise of Darkrai" which is expected to be released soon after in conjunction with Nintendo Australia handing out Darkrai. Special thanks to Sam for the information!  We will also soon have a Egg Move guide up written by Golden Shaymin which is currently being converted to HTML format. |

21st July 2008 11:19AM EST GMT+10 Platinum Trailer! Thanks to seamonster73, a Pokemon Platinum trailer was yesterday revealed which we've uploaded to YouTube. It shows many new locations not in Diamond or Pearl along with how amazingly 3D the Torn World will be, also it appears that Gym Leaders (and maybe all trainers) now animate when you battle them, anyway the video can be seen below. |

19th July 2008 5:32PM EST GMT+10 Platinum and Movie News To with, like with D/P both a Yahoo and official site for Platinum have been created in Japan with the Yahoo site just opening so visit them for clearer images. The Yahoo site talks about how the "Movie Shaymin" handed out in Japan will be able to transform into it's Sky Forme using the Glacidia Flower. This could mean only the Japanese Movie Shaymin can transform into the Sky Forme or it only says that since the Movie Shaymin is the only one currently available (since the Elite Four glitch was not an official way of obtaining Shaymin). Next up we have a five minute long video showing new footage of "Giratina and Shaymin, the Bouquet of the Icy Sky" which can be seen below. |

18th July 2008 3:46PM EST GMT+10 Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia Well today we have a new page up about Capture Cards, a very important new aspect to the Pokemon Ranger series. We have also updated the Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia page with the new E3 video and US cover.  Finally in an unusual turn of events, I have decided that Pokemon Aus24 will soon start covering Animal Crossing: City Folk! A section is expected to be up in the coming days with all Animal Crossing news posted there till the games launch. Once released guides will be added to the section and a calendar detailing any upcoming in-game events will be available. This new section wont mean less Pokemon coverage but hopefully will increase site traffic. |

16th July 2008 2:58PM EST GMT+10 E3, Platinum and Movie News Okay well Nintendo's E3 conference took place last a few hours ago and Pokemon Ranger 2 being giving the US title "Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia" and a release date of November 10th in the US. The Shadows refer to Darkrai's presence in Almia, anyway the official E3 trailer can be seen here along with the logo below. Along with Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, new games such as Animal Crossing: City Folk, Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort and accessories such as the Wii Motion Plus and WiiSpeak were revealed.  Next up it seems Shaymin's Glacidia Flower has no effect at night causing it to return to it's normal forme, more info will be posted as it comes. You may also want to check out the official Platinum site, though it is in Japanese, new images have been posted. A special screening of the 11th Pokemon movie took place in Japan days before the official launch, as always a preview of the next movie was shown at the end and along with the preview was a title which as never happened before. The 12th Pokemon movie is connected to the 10th and 11th and is titled "Dialga VS Palkia VS Giratina", when Arceus is revealed in Japan next year the title will most likely be changed to "Dialga VS Palkia VS Giratina VS Arceus" as do most of the movies. |

13th July 2008 1:09PM EST GMT+10 2 more days till E3, Pokemon Aus24 will keep you updated with any new Pokemon games that might be revealed. No News... Well nothing has happened the last two days after all that Platinum info was revealed. I am working on fixing up our Berry Guide, I added images of each berry and plan to add more info about each one. Please vote in our poll, I am not sure whether to keep our flash menu or make a normal text based one so by voting you get to decide! Finally for today we are giving away a US Darkrai and Shiny Ralts to one person from anywhere in the world, the image below has all the details.  |

11th July 2008 10:50AM EST GMT+10 4 more days till E3, Pokemon Aus24 will keep you updated with any new Pokemon games that might be revealed. Heaps of New Platinum Info CoroCoro has been leaked early like always and with it came heaps of new Pokemon Platinum info including a Japanese release of September 13th. - The fight against Team Galactic along with their hide out has been improved giving you a slightly new adventure this time. - The Battle Frontier has returned with a new theme park style look. It is located in the Fight Area and contains a Battle Tower. - Wi-Fi mini games have been added which allows up to 20 people to play over the internet, one game includes a Swalot Poffin making game where you chuck berries in it's mouth as it spins. - The GTS has been completely upgraded and is now apparently called the "Global Terminal" since it no longer only focuses on trading, you can now also record Pokemon battles and send them to others there via Wi-Fi. - It seems Giratina only changes in to it's Origin Forme while in the Torn World, there may still be an item he can hold which keeps him in his Origin Forme just like Shaymin. - Sky Forme Shaymin has the Serene Grace ability while Origin Giratina has Levitate. - All Pokemon have new sprites and their back sprites now move. - One of the new characters revealed last month works for Team Galactic while the other is member of the Police trying to capture Team Galactic. - The Underground is confirmed to have Wi-Fi. - The basement in the Pokemon Center has been given a new look. Feature Updates Well not much news today, our Feature Video and Photo have been updated and I have begun work on an Pokemon Ability list. I'm not sure how successful a PokeDex for the site would be with so many highly detailed ones out there so I'll work on the Ability and Attack dex while I consider things. Toolbar update and Darkrai Give away To start with our Pokemon Aus24 toolbar has been completly updated so if you have not already downloaded it or just want to see what it looks like you can do so here. If you have downloaded it then the toolbar will update itself so you don't need to do anything. Our toolbar is obviously free and connects you to everything Pokemon, sends you the latest Pokemon news via RSS, contains local weather, fun applications and even an e-mail notifier! Since Australia and Europe don't get many Pokemon events, Pokemon Aus24 has a special give away for one lucky person to celebrate our new look toolbar... Competition closes August 8th so get your entries in! Information on the Ralts and our other Event Pokemon can be found here. I hope to get some new PokeDex entries in later today so check back. Platinum Info It has been revealed through the Japanese blue skY blog that Shaymin turns into it's Sky Forme when you actually attach a Glacidia's Flower obtained in Floaroma Town. Wonder how this will affect trading to Diamond and Pearl? maybe you wont be able to trade any Pokemon holding a new item like with Gold/Silver to Red/Blue/Yellow.  You may remember our poll about two months ago asking if Pokemon Aus24 should have a MySpace or Facebook well the MySpace option received the most votes so here it is, Pokemon Aus24's official MySpace page. 5th July 2008 7:20PM EST GMT+10 Pokemon Ranger in Cinemas Even though the DVD has been out for a year, Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea will be airing at Melbourne's Federation Square (ACMI) from the 7th to the 11th of July from 1PM-3PM. If you want to view a Pokemon movie for the first time in years on the big screen and live in Melbourne, make sure you head over. Charmander and Charmeleon have been added to our PokeDex. 4th July 2008 5:55PM EST GMT+10 My Pokemon Ranch Released A month after the US Australia and Europe today finally got My Pokemon Ranch. I am quite surprised with the lack of features, besides storing Pokemon on your farm, watching them (while I type this Haley's Pikachu just used Thunder on my Giratina and my Mii seems to have a crush on Haley) and taking photos there is not much else you can do. Expect some videos to be uploaded to our YouTube account in the next day or two. Ivysaur and Venusaur's pages are now available on our PokeDex, is anyone is interested in assisting with the PokeDex so it can be completed sooner please e-mail me at lucario@pokemonaus24.com. 3rd July 2008 3:31PM EST GMT+10 Pokemon Aus24 PokeDex Well today I have started work on a PokeDex for Pokemon Aus24. It will take quite a while to complete and currently only Bulbasaur is ready, designing a layout was the most time consuming part and now that's out of the way the rest is easy but will still take a few months. As you can see, along with listing all the attacks the Pokemon can learn via leveling I have also posted the best move set for the Pokemon and how to obtain these attacks, I've also included the best nature for the Pokemon and how to EV train them. By offering competitive information along with Pokemon details, the Pokemon Aus24 PokeDex will definately be unique and not a standard generic PokeDex other sites seem to have. |

2nd July 2008 11:56AM EST GMT+10 My Pokemon Ranch Release Date? To start with, news has come via Serebii that Europe should be getting My Pokemon Ranch on WiiWare this week so it is quite possible that so should Australia. Despite being rated in Australia first, My Pokemon Ranch is still yet to appear on the Shopping Channel while the US have had it for four weeks already and have also recieved an update which is said to fix a few bugs. Next up I have started a new section titled "Featured Photo" (which is located on the left under Featured Video) where each week a new photo sent to us from Super Smash Bros. Brawl and eventually My Pokemon Ranch will be featured with credit given to the owner. If you'd like to submit your Brawl snapshots then e-mail them either to photos@pokemonaus24.com or pokemonaus24@gmail.com. Our YouTube account has a selection of new videos you might like to check out, expect some from My Pokemon Ranch once released. Our Feature Video has been updated with the original Super Smash Bros. ad, you can view it on the left side menu. Finally Chapter 10 of our Mystery Dungeon Fan-Fic by FocusPresenceEndurance is now up. |

1st July 2008 2:50PM EST GMT+10 Sugimori Page and PokeMart Well we've finally entered July, the biggest month in the world of gaming with E3 taking place in 15 days. First off I have updated the whole PokeMart store with much more appealing designs since the older one wasn't very attractive, so give the PokeMart a visit and have a look at the new creations. 20% of all purchases goes back to Pokemon Aus24 allowing us to cover the hosts of running the site.
